Abstract

The review analyzes the monograph of A.N. Savenkov “Nuremberg: A Verdict for name of Peace”, which combines several genres at once: a legal monograph, a historical novel, a political message, documentaries and an encyclopedia. The work allows you to study the chronology of events and understand their logic, get an explanation of the historical processes that took place, establish the significance of the Nuremberg Tribunal’s decision, collect all kinds of statistical data about the trial or immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the proceedings, comprehending the words or speeches of the accusers said by criminals. The monograph provides a broad analysis of the results of many years of fundamental scientific research on the structure, content and legal novels of the Verdict on the main war criminals of the European axis countries, as well as scrupulously examines the legal theories and concepts of leading soviet and foreign legal scholars, normative legal acts, materials and documents for more than fifty years.
