The observed tendencies in the change in value orientations in the life of young men and women are due to both ongoing various kinds of transformations in the main spheres of the life of Russian society and the peculiarities of the socio-economic situation of this region. Based on the analysis of the research materials, the conclusion is made about the specifics of the formation of the mentality of young people of the republic, which is important and must be taken into account when developing regional programs aimed at solving various problems of youth.
