Abstract

Mitrofan Stepanovich Bodnarsky (1870–1953), professor of geography at Moscow State University, was also known for his studies on the history of earth sciences. One of his major works in this ﬁeld, however, remained unpublished. This article describes the content of this archival manuscript and analyzes the signiﬁ cance of Bodnarsky’s contributions to the history of geography and its methodology.
