The outcomes of the discussion of issues presented at International Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual problems of practical and Applied Psychology in the modern socio-cultural situation” (November 30 – December 3, 2020), organized by the Udmurt State University (Izhevsk) are presented in the article. The reports highlighted the problems associated with the use of new digital technologies and online risks in psychologists’ professional activities and in educational system. According to the results of the conference it was noted that the use of ICT technologies in psychologist’s work opens up new opportunities enriching the field of professional reflection with additional meanings and expanding the boundaries of one's own Self. It is recognized that primary reception, basic diagnosis and psychological prevention by means of artificial intelligence will facilitate professional activity of practical psychologists. The problem of psychological effects of digital technologies’ application in educational process and the results of education system related to the subjective potential of the graduate becomes relevant. Transdisciplinary studies of the effectiveness of new organizational and pedagogical conditions with variability in use of various organizational forms of training (classroom, distance, online, etc.) in the accordance with new psychological capabilities of students are becoming promising. The need for the conference along with the discussion of fundamental issues of psychology is connected with drawing the authorities’ attention to the problem of psychological prevention of suicidal behavior in the region.
