Abstract

In the article, everyday consciousness is considered as a factor reflecting the general state of society, which is generated by the individual and group experience of generations, is used by subjects of life in order to adapt to reality. The problem of the study is the position that everyday consciousness contains both logically verified and largely erroneous opinions, subject to emotional assessments, and the introduction of new qualities into the individual consciousness is a laborious process. All these positions allow the authors to consider world outlook ideas (the meaning-forming component of everyday consciousness) as a historical and cultural feature of peoples. As the main methodological approach, an appeal to the linguistic paradigm of scientific analysis was chosen: the authors turn to the allocation of semantic categories in texts and their quantitative analysis, which makes it possible to identify the systemic properties of the phenomenon, as well as the hierarchical ordering of its constituent elements. The work also highlights the dominant among Russian users worldview attitudes associated with various spheres of human and social life. It is shown that the leading positions in the statements of users are the social and personal significance of the worldview. The work also examines the psychological components of the phenomenon (cognitive, value, emotional and conative) and their characteristic features that perform the functions of regulating behavior in modern conditions of human and social life. The analysis of emotional assessments in the statements of users allowed us to describe nine different subgroups of the emotional background, to show the main meaningful concepts that underlie them, to demonstrate the clear dominance of the negative emotional background. The presented analysis allows us to formulate a methodological approach to the study of the life of a person and society, which consists in identifying the units of analysis of a specific psychological phenomenon from the products of oral folk art and its subsequent quantitative and qualitative analysis by referring to automated systems analysis of a large number of texts that are not amenable to “manual” analysis in the force of its excessive volume. The theoretical and methodological positions described above allow us to reflect on the main meanings that the phenomenon of “worldview” is endowed with in the framework of everyday consciousness, to show that the worldview has a high level of abstraction, and its research has significant applied meaning. It is noted that ignoring this phenomenon within the framework of psychological concepts can lead to a fragmentary interpretation of many psychological phenomena.
