Abstract

Th. Dobzhansky is known as one of founders of "the synthetic theory of evolution". He was a believer during all his life, but he was a special believer who had reconsidered former, first of all religious answers to "ultimate questions", and put these questions anew, evolutionary. He has tried to prove and justify religion, his own belief with the help of the evolutionary theory, but this his attempt has not met understanding neither among believers, nor among non-believers.
