- Аннотация
В статье рассматриваются ситуация, возникшая в 2022 г. после того, как Соломоновы Острова подписали с КНР соглашение о сотрудничестве в области безопасности, реакция США на произошедшее и их попытки восстановить своё влияние в этом государстве. Прослеживается также предыстория событий, в том числе место Соломоновых Островов в истории США и защита Соломоновыми Островами своих вод от нерегулируемого американского рыболовства в 1980-е годы.
