- Abstract
The article examines the current political status of the former US President D. Trump, whose main intention after the defeat in the 2020 presidential elections is to ensure the confident victory of the Republican Party in the 2022 electoral race and strengthen his own position as an informal party leader. Additionally, the Democrats' line of actions to undermine the credibility of the non-systemic D. Trump in order to remove his candidacy from the American political life are considered.
