- Abstract
The article addresses the evolution of the US-UK “special relationship” and their current state. The author explores the factor of personal relations between US and UK leadership, the role of values and Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific security architecture for the bilateral relations. The author argues that Washington remains a cornerstone of UK foreign policy strategy after withdrawal from the EU. Meanwhile London’s main dilemma is how to maintain its “autonomy” against the backdrop of the increased significance of “special relations” in its foreign policy.
