- Abstract
- The development of military geography in the Far Eastern borderlands (middle 19th - early 20th centuries). The article discusses the main lines of the development of military geography in Russia and the contribution of military geographers to the study of the Russian Far East and of neighboring countries in Asia. It analyses many rare sources, including expeditionary reports, military surveys, and cartographic works dealing with Far Eastern borderland territories.
