Abstract

The paper gives an overview of attempts made in psychology during the last two decades to approach the ancient problem of wisdom at the junction of philosophy, cognitive, personality and developmental psychology. The author's view presents wisdom as a phenomenon, referring primarily to a special structure of life activity regulation, based on a developed capacity of extracting life experience from life events.
