- Abstract
- The article presents an interpretation of traditional faith and rational belief as analytic categories related to different foundations and manifestation of human mind. The author examines the novel by Somerset W. Maugham «Of Human Bondage» in order to comprehend a spiritual transformation of the hero which can be reconstructed as a transition from traditional to rational credential structures.
