Abstract
Three main strategies of adaptive survival and selection of pro- and eucaryotes are discussed: the first one is the strategy of passive response and waiting that is specific for huge populations of short-living microorganisms. The second strategy - the one of active survival in a non-sustainable conditions is connected with the directed induction of variability/polymorphism of DNAs along the chain of molecular signals from HSP70 to mobile transposons. The third successive way of adaptation to microenvironments is connected with a developmental complexity/self-assembly and autonomy at the level of epigenome of surviving cells.
