- Abstract
- The article deals with how the work of Mikhail Lermontov was perceived by the prominent representatives of Slavophilism Konstantin and Ivan Aksakov. They were viewing the poet through the prism of Slavophil ideas, and were tending to treat him as a poet of nihilism and cold egoism, even if they were paying tribute to the merits of Lermontov’s poesy.
