Abstract
The article presents the results of comparative empirical research of interrelation between attitudes towards immigration and subjective well-being among host populations of Russia, Germany, Great Britain and Israel. The results show that negatively perceived consequences of immigration decrease the subjective well-being whereas attitudes towards rejection of immigration promote higher subjective well-being among the host population members, in all four countries. Authors explain these results using The Integrated Threat theory and Social Identity Theory.
