Abstract
The article deals with the issues of correlation, interconnection and interaction between the three main branches of state authority - legislative, executive and juridical, and their role in the political system of society. The authors come to the conclusion that executive power plays the most important, primary, predominant role in the modern state. The paper reveals the factors that have determined the current state of affairs.
